Who We Are

Ecodesign is an eco-friendly, foreign-invested enterprise located in Qing Dao, China. We specialize in producing organic hemp, organic cotton, bamboo, and soya garments for the global textile industry. Our management team from Europe has been in the garment business of natural fiber for more than 10 years and understands the need for efficiency in the modern world. With European and Chinese backgrounds represented on our management team, Ecodesign is a supplier, manufacturer, and factory ready to serve your needs.

We also support non-profit organizations that work to save Mother Earth or help any human-related social issues and can offer discounts with no profit to us.

Why choose Ecodesign?

Our organic linen and organic hemp are grown in northern China close to the Mongolian border in fields that have been certified by the Institute for Marketecology (IMO) since 1997. In 2005 we began growing organic hemp fiber. The harvested crop are lain on the field throughout the winter for the natural retting process, and the retted branches are processed into raw fiber nearby before being transported to the spinning mill. We understand the safety concerns involved with the use of fabric dyes, and therefore only work with dye houses that have been tested for harmful substances. We follow the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and ensure no harmful dyeing agents have been added during the manufacturing process through lab tests conducted by the SGS. Our sewing facility employs sewers aged 21-50 with at least 2 years of prior experience in sewing. Working 8 hours a day with a minimum of 6 days off a month, our employees are paid 20% more than local wages. They receive no money penalty and are not forced to work overtime. Our employees also receive health insurance and 3 months maternity leave with pay from the company.

At our sewing facility, we follow safe and fair working conditions in conformity with the standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO):

+ 20% more than the local average wages
